Elton John has this to say about the effort, "Hi, Amazon.com customers. In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, it is crucial that we come together to support the rebuilding process of the Gulf Coast. To show my gratitude for your donations to these efforts, please enjoy a sneak preview of a song titled "Make Me as You Are" that Bernie Taupin and I wrote for the new musical Lestat, where Anne Rice's most beloved vampire character is brought to life on stage. Before beginning performances on Broadway at New York City's Palace Theater on March 11, Lestat will premiere at the Curran Theatre in San Francisco on December 17 and run through January 29. I hope you enjoy this preview of the music for the show, and don't forget to make a donation to the Red Cross to help people affected by the hurricanes."
