Dressing up as Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, or Han Solo this Halloween?
New York : Plan on dressing as Princess Leia, Darth Vader, or Chewbacca this Halloween? If so, then head on down to The One Man Star Wars trilogy next week to win some prizes.
A costume competition will take place during the October 28th - 31st performances of the show. Audiences are encouraged to come in costume, Star Wars or not. The contest will be judged by performer Charles Ross, Christian Borle from Spamalot and John Treacy Egan from The Producers . Prizes from Toys-r-Us, Mars 2112, Forbidden Planet, Creative Costume, and St. Marks Comics will
be awarded for the best costumes. According to the producers "stormtroopers will be in the audience all weekend and will be serving the audience free Wookie Cookies, Darth Malts, Yoda Soda, and Deathstar Popcorn Balls."
Here is the performance schedule for The One Man Star Wars Trilogy that weekend:
Friday October 28th: 8pm Saturday October 29th: 3pm and 8pm Sunday October 30th: 3pm Monday October 31st: 7:30pm
Charles Ross' One Man Star Wars Trilogy will play the Lamb's Theater until December 31st, but it will take a hiatus from October 31st through November 22nd.
The One Man Star Wars Trilogy is a high energy, nonstop blast through the first three Star Wars films. The catch is, there's only one cast member. Charles Ross, the writer and solo performer, spent too much of his childhood in a galaxy far, far away- adulthood has been similar. Ross plays all the characters, recreates the effects, sings the music, flies the ships, and fights both sides of the battles.
