The producers of the show, according to Variety, plan to open the show on Broadway in the fall of 2006. The last time Guys and Dolls appeared on Broadway was in 1992 and starred Nathan Lane, Peter Gallagher, and Faith Prince.
Nigel Harman will take over for Ewan McGregor and Sarah Lancashire will replace Jane Krakowski when they leave the production on December 3rd.
In Guys and Dolls, Nathan Detroit, the organizer of the oldest established permanent floating crap game in New York, bets fellow gambler Sky Masterson that he can't make the next girl he sees fall in love with him. The next girl he sees happens to be Miss Sarah Brown, a pure-at-heart Salvation Army-type reformer. Sky has his work cut out for him.
