The renaming of The Virginia Theater for the late August Wilson will begin at 8PM and will be open to the Public. Most had hoped Wilson would be well enough to attend, but he lost his battle with cancer on October 2nd.
Participants in the ceremony will be announced at a later date.
August Wilson will be remembered for his 10 plays chronicling the African American experience in the past decade. The first play in the cycle, Gem of the Ocean, recently ran on Broadway.
