Broadway Lights Dimmed To Honor August Wilson

New York: To honor the passing of playwright August Wilson, the lights of Broadway will be dimmed on October 4th for one minute at 8pm.

August Wilson passed away on October 2nd of terminal liver cancer. He will be remembered for his 10 plays chronicling the African American experience in the past decade. The first play in the cycle, Gem of the Ocean, recently ran on Broadway.
