Theatre - King Lear
King Lear has decided to abdicate the throne and divide his kingdom between his three daughters, Goneril, Regan, and Cordelia. Before he abdicates he holds a contest asking each one of his daughters to tell him how much they love him. Goneril and Regan passionately tell their father of their love for him, but Cordelia refuses, saying that their are no words to express her love for him. Unsatisfied with the answer, King Lear banishes Cordelia from his kingdom. The King begins to learn that he has made a mistake and that his decision has set in motion a series of tragic events.
