Anne Hathaway finds ‘The Opposite of Love’ at Fox

Anne Hathaway has signed on to star in 20th Century Fox’s “The Opposite of Love” – based on the bestselling debut novel by Julie Buxbaum.

Variety reports the movie will be produced by Tapestry Films (“Wedding Crashers”). Fox picked up the screen rights to the book in June and has signed Kara Holden to pen the script.

Hathaway will handle the role of a commitment-phobic attorney who turns down her boyfriend’s marriage proposal as her life starts to fall apart.

Fox and Hathaway last teamed for 2000’s “The Devil Wears Prada” and the actress just finished work on the studio’s upcoming “Bride Wars” – which was produced by Regency.

She is set to return to the screen with two Sony pictures, “Passengers” and “Rachel Getting Married.”

Holden has kept busy with several projects in the works – including Warner Bros.’ “Home School” and DreamWorks’ “How Opal Mehta Got Kissed, Got Wild and Got a Life.”
