Princess Diana would have been 50 on Friday, July 1, had she survived the horrific car crash in France.
Lady Diana Spencer became engaged to Prince Charles at age 19. She and Charles announced their engagement in February 1981, before marrying in St. Pauls Cathedral on July 29, 1981 – making her the Princess of Wales. She gave birth to Prince William in 1982 and Prince Harry in 1984.
Diana separated from Charles during the early 1990s and their divorce was finalized in 1996. At age 36, Diana and Dodi Al-Fayed crashed in a tunnel in Paris on August 31, 1997.
Author and conservative pundit Ann Coulter scorched a bit of earth over Di’s legacy on “The Insider” when answering a question from co-host Kevin Frazier.
“I find it a little baffling when Americans get so gaga-eyed over a princess,” Ann said over her perplexed view of Royals and Americans’ reactions to them. “In particularly Lady Di, who was just this anorexic, bulimic narcissist.”
The newest member got a pass: “Kate Middleton seems like a lovely girl.”
Ann’s new book, Demonic: How the Liberal Mob is Endangering America, is her take on the mob mentality of liberals and her defense of conservative stars like Sarah Palin.
Ann felt Palin should not run for President: “She has all the good things of being President – massive influence, huge crowds. [She has] some things a President doesn’t have, like huge book contracts … Running for President, I think, would not be a fun job.”Note the date on this article may be incorrect due to importing it from our old system.
