Viewers will finally discover Elam Ferguson’s fate when they tune in for a new episode of AMC’s scripted series “Hell on Wheels” on Saturday, September 6 at 9pm ET/PT. In the new episode, “Bear Man,” – written by Max Hurwitz and directed by Clark Johnson –Elam (Common) struggles to survive following a vicious attack by a bear. .

“Hell on Wheels” stars Anson Mount as former confederate soldier Cullen Bohannon, who has journeyed west following the Civil War and is participating in the building of the Union Pacific in its race to meet up with the Central Pacific’s line to form the first transcontinental railroad. Working often against Bohannon is Thomas “Doc” Durant (Colm Meaney), a greedy entrepreneur taking full advantage of changing times. As Season 4 unfolds, civilization continues west and conflict arises between the government, homesteaders and the railroad, as they all compete for control of Cheyenne, Wyoming, the “Magic City of the Plains” and the most important railroad hub in the country.

Following “Hell on Wheels,” AMC will air an encore episode of season one of “TURN: Washington’s Spies,” the untold true story of America’s first spy ring. Viewers can tune in on Saturday, September 6 at 10pm ET/PT, for the episode, “Mr. Culpepper,” written by Mitchell Akselrad and directed by Eagle Egilsson.
