Album Review: Celtic Woman – ‘A Christmas Celebration’

Celtic Woman’s ‘A Christmas Celebration’ is simply a must have album for fans of Christmas music or anyone wanting something that will put them in the Christmas mood.

Celtic Woman have been winning over fans since their record-breaking self-titled debut album, platinum selling concert DVD, and PBS special. The group has completed four highly successful tours in the U.S., and have recently aired their second PBS Special “Celtic Woman: A New Journey Live at Slane Castle.” They are currently working on a new studio CD and live DVD that are set to be released in January.

‘A Christmas Celebration’ features 15 tracks of Christmas classics and other seasonal favorites. The group blend their voices beautifully on tracks like “White Christmas,” “Carol of The Bells,” “Let It Snow,” “Little Drummer Boy,” and “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.” There is not a single bad song on the entire album, and it is perfect for having in the background while you visit with family or prepare for the holiday.

I am not a big fan of Christmas music, but was quickly won over by this album. From start to finish, it is somewhat magical with the voices blending with the music and reminding what makes Christmas special. I would highly recommend the album to anyone who enjoys Christmas music or anyone wanting something that will put them in the Christmas spirit.
