Alternative rockers AFI (A Fire Inside) have released their seventh studio album “Decemberunderground” – which might be bit of a change to fans of the group thanks to its more electronic and somewhat pop sound.
The first single “Miss Murder” off the 12-track album is already heating up on radio play and the video for the song is on heavy rotation on MTV.
The album is described as maintaining the band’s notable guitar riffs, but blending that sound with more melody to show the musical evolving talents of the AFI’s members.
AFI was first formed in 1991 and the group released a handful of EPs on minor labels before making the jump to the Dreamworks label with the release of “Sing the Sorrow” in 2003.
This album went on to reach #5 on the billboard charts and certified gold status. The group was nominated and won an MTV Video Award for its “Girl’s Not Grey” video in 2003.
