A Market for Murder – Book Review

A lightweight ‘cozy’ crime novel, with a theme that is a bit dated nowadays. A peaceful West Country village is shattered when a bomb explodes in the local supermarket. A few days later, a stallholder is killed having been shot with a cross bow during a farmer’s market.  Karen Slocombe witnesses both events.

Her curiosity is aroused by unusual features surrounding them and begins to investigate.  Her knowledge of the local community helps her to solve the mystery.  The pace is steady throughout, and will appeal to anyone who likes non-challenging crime mysteries.

The book forms part of a series of Cotswold mysteries starring Karen Slocombe, her family and friends.
