Selena Gomez replaces Miley Cyrus in ‘Hotel Transylvania’

Selena Gomez will take over for Miley Cyrus in the voice cast of Sony Pictures Animation’s 3D family comedy “Hotel Transylvania.”

According to Variety, Genndy Tartakovsky is directing with Michelle Murdocca producing.

A September 21, 2012, release date has been set.

The voice cast includes Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Fran Drescher, David Spade, Cee Lo Green, Steve Buscemi, Molly Shannon, Andy Samberg and David Koechner.

The story centers on Dracula’s (Sandler) lavish Hotel Transylvania resort where monsters and their families are welcomed to enjoy themselves away from humans.

Gomez, who was last seen on the big screen in “Monte Carlo,” will voice Mavis, Dracula’s teenage daughter.
