How to Draw Exotic Flowers – Book Review

A useful introduction to drawing exotic flowers following   step by step instructions.  A wide range of flowers are included such as Orchids, Amaryllis, Passionflower, Oriental Poppies, Hibiscus, Camellia, Peony and Agapanthus.

The design of the flowers is broken down into shapes which just have to be copied (or traced) and used to build up a flower design.  The final picture in each case shows the flower in colour.

What would be useful is to show the would be flower artist how to achieve the desired colours, shading and three dimensional impact whether it be by pencil or paint.

Despite this, the book does offer plenty of inspiration and ideas to encourage people to have a go at drawing these beautiful plants.
