Check out the new exhibition, “Blow Your Head” Interactive Art Exhibition by Diplo and Shane McCauley at Sonos Studio, which will run from Sept. 4-Oct. 6 and take visitors on a journey of musical discovery around the globe utilizing Sonos Playbar, its ability to combine music and images, and Hype Machine’s global music discovery services.
The exhibition will kick off at an opening event on Sept. 4 from 7-10pm in which guests will be the first to experience the interactive exhibition and get the opportunity to hear about the exhibition directly from music sensation Diplo and music photographer Shane McCauley as part of a live Q&A. The general public is welcome to visit Sonos Studio to experience the exhibition Wed.-Sun., 12-6pm from Sept. 4-Oct. 6.
“Blow Your Head” Interactive Art Exhibition by cutting-edge DJ and Producer Diplo (Thomas Wesley Pentz) and Music Photographer Shane McCauley is an interactive art exhibition which allows visitors to pick songs from Diplo’s favorite international music blogs and experience a personalized music journey to specific cities and countries. Individual songs elicit different video and photography collected by Diplo and Shane McCauley while traveling the world and documenting the music scenes in different cultures.
During the opening, guests will get the opportunity to hear about the exhibition from Diplo and Shane McCauley as part of a Q&A moderated by Emma Reeves of MOCATV.

Diplo (Thomas Wesley Pentz) is an American DJ, music producer, rapper, and songwriter. He founded and manages record company Mad Decent, as well as the not for profit organization Heaps Decent. He is also the co-creator and lead member of the electronic dancehall music project, Major Lazer. Diplo has worked on production and mixtape projects with many notable pop artists such as British musician M.I.A, Beyonce, No Doubt, Justin Bieber, Usher and Snoop Lion.
Shane McCauley is a music photographer. In 2012 he was named by Complex magazine as one of the 50 top music photographers. He travels around the world with Diplo, as his tour photographer, accompanying him on amazing adventures that were compiled in the book 128 Beats Per Minute: Diplo’s Visual Guide to Music, Culture, and Everything in Between, which came out last in March 2012. He also works on Blow Your Head, which is a zine documenting music cultures around the world. Shane is based in NYC.
